Performance Programming Team
Sawyer Herron BA, CPT - Game Changer
Sawyer brings with him not only his positive attitude towards life but also the knowledge and know-how of what it takes to make it to the next level.
His background includes being a Canada U20 athlete, a summer spent overseas with Leceister Academy, as well as experience at the club, university and provincial level.
Recently Sawyer has turned his focus to helping others and has started group exercise classes for people struggling with Parkinson's. Though this is very rewarding his passion for rugby drives him back to the sport he loves.
Sawyer's goal is to improve Canadian rugby. He wants to reinstate Canada as both a respected national team and fierce competitor. This starts by supporting the athletes who are not training with our national squad to get the tools they need, which can often be too expensive for the average player.
He wants to change this model and make these tools accessible to all rugby players in Canada. Performance Programming Canada is his way of giving back to a community that has given him so much, and improve the standard of competition across Canada along the way.

Mylan Clairmont MSc, CSCS - Programming Consultant
Mylan brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience working both in high performance sport and online training. He holds a BA in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University and a Masters Degree in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Edinburgh.
Mylan has completed internships with the Ottawa Redblacks, Scottish Rugby, Rugby Canada and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CSCS).
Following his internship with Rugby Canada, Mylan was hired on to lead the strength and conditioning for Canada’s Senior Women’s XV team. He has since moved to the men’s program where he assists the Senior Men’s National Teams (7s, 15s, National Academy) and leads S&C for the Men’s Under 20s program.
Outside of rugby, Mylan has trained military members to successfully complete special operations selections including: Green Beret, JTF2, CBRN (Canada’s Nuclear/Biohazard Spec Ops Unit), SWAT, MARSOC (Marine Corps Special Operations), and others - all online!
Mylan’s philosophy focuses around developing overall athleticism, not just bolstering your numbers in the gym. If your improved strength, power, and fitness does not translate to on field performance, then it isn’t worth pursuing.
